Bio

The Bogey Man isn’t really a monster at all. He started as a simple scarecrow from Saskatchewan who took his job a little too seriously. Somewhere along the way, he got it in his head that he was supposed to be the villain of the fairway, haunting disc golfers and spreading bad luck. But the truth is, he’s just misunderstood. The crows he was built to scare never left. Instead, they became his friends, always teasing him and playing tricks while he tries to act tough. Deep down, The Bogey Man just wants to fit in and be part of the fun. He drifts from course to course, trying to play the bad guy but always ending up the punchline. Northern Flights took him in, giving him a home among the misfits and dreamers who play for the love of the game.

Backstory

The Bogey Man wasn’t always a legend of the fairways. He started as a lonely scarecrow standing in a quiet Saskatchewan field. Bored and forgotten, he eventually made friends with the very crows he was built to chase away. They teased him, joked with him, and turned long days into laughter. Everything changed when a disc golf course was installed in his field. At first, he thought he was being replaced. But as he watched players throw discs through the air, something sparked inside him — he wanted to be part of it. One day, he overheard a golfer say, “What’d you get on that last hole, dude?” “Bogey, man,” came the reply. From that moment, the scarecrow had a name — The Bogey Man. Now he wanders course to course with his crow friends, trying to fit in with the players he admires. He might bring a little bad luck now and then, but deep down he just wants to belong and share in the fun of the game.
